Description
The Organic Moss Boss
Much like real moss, ‘Moss Boss’ happened organically over a period of time. The real moss is a small flowerless green plant (but lacks true roots) growing in damp habitats & reproducing by means of spores. Or in other words, nature’s carpet! In the right conditions it grows and grows and grows.
Moss Boss grew in a similar fashion. Organically over the period of a month or so. Us here atop the ivory tower at the massive corporate headquarters of diverhelmet.com feels this piece represents growth & stepping outside of one’s self, and thinking outside of the box! Something we try to do often. Moss Boss makes a final new addition to the ever expanding “submerged” series of diver helmet prints.
Say NO to Grass!
Grass gets all of the praise, meanwhile moss is superior in some huge ways. Lets say instead of maintaining a lawn you just concerned yourself with moss. You would save on water, time, and fertilizer. You would also not need a lawnmower so gas would no longer be needed.
Another bonus is that it requires minimal attention when compared to an actual lawn. It’s honestly as simple as it gets. Assuming you can supply the right conditions of course. If so, you could create a beautiful alternative to boring standard grass.
What does your new moss require? An acidic environment, compact soil, protected sun to semi-shade, and a consistent moisture level. Kinda makes sense that forest floors are covered in the stuff and not your front lawn. Tis a shame indeed when you consider how much time and wasteful water a lawn requires while moss is pretty hands off and looks beautiful!
Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls
Some of you might want to stick to the rivers and the lakes that you’re used to. Those of you that lack the ability to think outside of the box, that is. Our waterfall metaphorically represents the flow of water and the flow of ideas. Hopefully for you and all of us, they continue to spread organically the way our beloved moss boss does. If you ever find yourself wondering more about moss, here is a good place to start.
