Time Keeper
It’s pretty easy to define who the Time Keeper is without having to explain much. He who keeps the time. Simple. Super smart physicists on the other hand, define time as the continued sequence of existence and events that occurs in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future. Makes sense, eh? Easy peasy.
Although we are not sure when time actually began (the big bang theory? Any other ideas?) tracking time and living our life according to it began with the invention of sundials in ancient Egypt some time prior to 1500 B.C. Have an issue with being over scheduled? Blame the dang Egyptians.
Time Obsession
Are you riddled with anxiety about being late? To anything. Small things. Big things. You just can’t be late or else everyone will know how rude you are showing up late like you do. Is that how you are? Perhaps a little concern is called for but some of us get quite out of proportion with our anxiety levels. Maybe try and chill and maybe take it in stride and realize nobody cares. The Time Keeper doesn’t care. Even though he keeps time and all that, even he doesn’t care. So go be late.

Are you creating the greatest amount of valuable time with your life? You only YOLO once so you might want to make the most of it. Whatever that means to you. Everyone is different and some care more than other’s about their time.
Time marches on. You cannot go backwards. This particular Time Keeper print will remind you that NOW is the only thing that’s real. So maybe give your life meaning and value and maybe try to live in the ‘now’ every once in a while. Or don’t give your life meaning. Or value. The choice is yours. Much like a lot of things in the universe there is a lot of gray area when determining what IS value. What IS ones best way to life their life and spend their time. The choice is yours, pal.

We strive to create art that is timeless. Timeless to us means the opposite of trendy. Trends simply do not last. We want it all to last. We care about this and The Time Keeper is our best representation of this fact. Retro Futurism is also a big inspiration for us. Old but new. Fresh but classic. Not easy to do but something that keeps us inspired. We strive for it.
Seapunk vs Steampunk
We are also into various kinds of steampunk art. Or perhaps steampunk light? I thought that the term ‘seapunk’ would best describe what we do here at diverhelmet.com but apparently this sub-genre already exists (it was invented in 2011). So I unfortunately naturally landed on seapunk but it’s already taken. Dangit. Kind of bummed about this…..but time will heal.
